أكد هشام بن صالح وكيل جيرالدو جناح فريق الكرة بالنادي الأهلي، أنه لم يتم مناقشة موقف اللاعب من البقاء ضمن صفوف القلعة الحمراء خلال الفترة المقبلة.

وقال هشام بن صالح في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة “أون تايم سبورت”: “جيرالدو تركيزه حاليًا على نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا فقط، ولا توجد أي عروض رسمية إلا بعد نهائي البطولة القارية”.

وتابع: “لم يحدث أي تفاوض بيني وبين مسوؤلي الأهلي حتى الآن بشأن مصير جيرالدو، هو لاعب دولي ومحترف والنادي كذلك”.

وبسؤاله إذا رحل جيرالدو هل سينضم لناديه السابق في البرازيل؟، أجاب: “كل موضوع في الحسبان، نحترم قرار موسيماني سواء ببقاء جيرالدو أو رحيله، وحديثي مع اللاعب أنه مركز 100% على النهائي”.

واختتم: “الأهلي ملتزم مع اللاعب في كل شىء، وجيرالدو مرتاح في الأهلي وهو يتمنى الحصول على فرص أكثر وأكثر مع موسيماني، وهناك تواصل جيد بينه وبين اللاعب”.

If you were to tell any Sheffield United supporter at the start of the season that their side would secure automatic promotion with one game left to play in the Championship, they would have understandably been a tad bemused.

However, with Chris Wilder leading a revolution at Bramall Lane, the Blades have been one of the stand-out sides in the second tier and are fully deserving of the recognition they are now receiving for clinching a top-two finish.

Whereas the likes of David McGoldrick and Billy Sharp have been incredibly impressive throughout the current campaign, it was Aston Villa loanee Scott Hogan who kicked off celebrations at Bramall Lane last week with a fantastic flick to give his side the lead against Ipswich Town.

Although the forward has experienced success at Championship level before, in order to try and persuade Wilder to sign him on a permanent deal, he must produce an eye-catching performance at the bet365 Stadium when United take on Stoke City on Sunday.

Having scored just two goals since joining the club in the January transfer window, it could be argued that the £4.5m-rated ace (via Transfermarkt) may not be good enough to make the step up to the Premier League next season. However, by proving that he can thrive in the club’s 3-5-2 system at the weekend, Hogan may provide an ultimatum for his manager to consider over the summer.

Even if he cannot persuade the Blades to commit to a move, the Republic of Ireland international could still put himself in the shop window by illustrating his wide array of talents against Stoke. By doing this, Hogan may be able to keep his career on track after a tough two years following his departure from Brentford in 2017.

Wolves have been particularly shrewd when it’s come to making foreign signings since Nuno Santo took over. However, they might now be about to do the same with a British talent.

The Daily Mail claims that the Midlands side are weighing up a move for Hamilton Academical’s promising youngster Jamie Hamilton.

A defender by trade, he’s been earning impressive reviews for his displays for Scotland U17s where he’s starred in the centre of defence. According to the report, he could cost as little as £800,000 too.

However, Wolves will face competition from fellow Premier League side Burnley who have also taken a keen interest in the Scottish centre-half.

The 17-year-old is yet to make his senior debut but that doesn’t look to have put off his potential suitors who are clearly still impressed by his ability.

Hamilton appeared on the bench in the SPFL last weekend, which was a testament to his development so far. It’s been a breakthrough campaign for the young defender, who shone in the UEFA Youth League earlier in the season.

He played in all four matches as his club side beat Basel before being defeated by Midtjylland across two legs.

He’s an exciting talent and should Wolves complete a move then they may have a long term replacement for Conor Coady on their hands.

Given that Hamilton is only 17 then he won’t walk straight into the starting XI, but he has the attributes to suggest that he could be a successor in the near future, particularly as a middle centre back.

Like Coady, he’s incredibly comfortable on the ball and that would lend itself to the system Nuno operates with at Wolves. He’s also a natural leader, having captained his national side at youth level. In the seven matches he’s played for Scotland U17s, he’s found the back of the net once.

Another aspect of his game is his versatility, having the ability to play on the right of defence, as well as in a defensive midfield position, something else he has in common with Coady.

Considering his age, it’s tough to predict just how far he’ll go, but he’s certainly making the right strides and Wolves would have a fantastic player to add to an academy side who have already won their respective league this term.

وواصل: ” سنلتقي مرة أخرى في شهر يناير ونرى ما سيحدث، يمكن أن يحدث الانتقال في هذا الشهر، آمل أن تسير الأمور لصالحي، أعتقد أنها سارت بشكل جيد بما فيه الكفاية حتى هذه المرحلة”.

وتابع: “لقد واصلت التحسن، والخطوة التالية بالنسبة لي الآن هي لعب كرة القدم بانتظام، أحب أن أفعل ذلك، سأستمتع بهذه الفرصة (مشاركته مع منتخب أيرلندا هذا الشهر)، لن أقول إنني محبط، بالطبع أريد أن أشارك في المباريات في أقرب وقت ممكن، لكن لدي صبر جيد”.

وأردف: “إصابة أليسون لم تأت في وقت جيد بالنسبة لي، لكنها مجرد شيء يجب أن أتعامل معه، وآمل أن أستمر في دفع نفسي في التدريبات، ومواصلة محاولة التحسن وانتظار الفرصة التالية”.

وأكد: “لن أستطيع البقاء في ليفربول لحين الحصول على فرص لعب منتظم، لا يمكنني القيام بذلك حتى ذلك الحين، لذا أريد الخروج ولعب كرة منتظمة مع أي فريق آخر، وأحاول التأثير بقدر الإمكان ثم أعود إلى هنا مجددًا”.

واختتم: “من المهم العثور على النادي المناسب، الفريق المناسب، الأسلوب المناسب، المدرب المناسب، كل شيء يجب أن يكون مناسبًا لي، سنرى ما سيحدث”.

If there’s one player in the West Ham team fans want to see remain with the club for their entire career, it’s Mark Noble.

The Hammers midfielder and captain has been one of the club’s most consistent performers since establishing himself as a first-team member in 2007 and has continued to be one of the supporters favourite players due to his commitment to West Ham, but it could soon be time for a change of personnel.

At 31, Noble is entering the twilight years of his career and has looked rusty in patches of the season, and Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly found his successor to the West Ham cult hero.

According to Sport Witness, the Hammers are interested in Istanbul Basaksehir playmaker Irfan Kahveci and that the club’s interest in the midfielder is the reason for the playmaker’s recent dip in form for the Turkish Super Lig title hopefuls.

It might seem like a signing out of left-field, but Kahveci’s credentials this season make him a reasonable target for West Ham this summer having started all but one game for Basaksehir this season in the central midfield of a 4-1-4-1 formation, in which the Turkish midfielder has scored four goals and assisted five playing behind striker Robinho.

Kahveci is a relative unknown in the English game and would be wildcard signing should Pellegrini go in for the 23-year-old, but the midfielder has shown he has the quality to impress in the Premier League and one day replace Noble as one of the starting central players for the Hammers.

His creativity and ability to chip in with occasional goals will make Kahveci a quick fan favourite in east London, and the Turk could be a cheap pickup for the Hammers if they decide to follow through with their interest in the Basaksehir midfielder.

It was a tough start for Marco Silva and Everton. However, after a solid end to the season, there is plenty of reason to be excited for the next campaign. An eighth-place finish is certainly something to be happy about considering just how poor the start of the term was. 

So, how does the Portuguese ensure that next season his side can be as consistent as they have been towards the end of this one?

There will no doubt be conversations between the 41-year-old and his team, as well as talks between him and the board on how to ensure the same issues from this year don’t carry on into 2020.

Here’s a couple of issues that have occurred during the season we feel the Everton staff must look to improve on.

Lack of consistency in starting eleven 

At the start of the season we saw a number of different players play in a number of different positions. It was clear that Silva had no idea what his best starting eleven was, something which led to only one win in their first five games of the campaign.

If there are to be any new additions to the Everton side this summer, Silva will be looking to ensure he knows his best squad come the start of the season and will hope that he can then make his team produce performances to that of the dismantling of Manchester United right from the very first whistle.

Still no Romelu Lukaku replacement

It has now been two seasons since the departure of super striker Romelu Lukaku, and yet we still haven’t seen another world-class No.9 come in to fill the boots of the big Belgian.

We have recently seen the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin emerge into the side; however, it will be a couple more years before we begin to see similar results to that of Lukaku. This could be just another one of the reasons as to why Silva struggled to really find that winning goal before moving his formation around to allow Gylfi Sigurdsson or Richarlison to attack more.

With a return to the Premier League to look forward to next season, Norwich fans were given an added boost as the club announced via their official website that Timm Klose had signed a new deal.

The Swiss international had reached the end of his existing contract, but has now extended his stay at Carrow Road until the summer of 2022.

Having seen the defender become an integral part of their Championship title-winning campaign this season, many Canaries fans took to social media to laud the club’s decision to offer him a new contract.

They feel ‘his experience and leadership next season’ could prove vital as they bid to beat the drop, and he will continue to be an invaluable figure in the Norwich dressing room.

With the Canaries also boasting some exciting emerging talent, many on Twitter feel Klose’s ‘massive character’ would make him a ‘great influence for the young lads’.

Indeed, with concerns that the defender could leave on a free at the end of the campaign, some have even expressed a sense of relief that a new deal has been sorted out, and used Klose’s contract as motivation to tackle the Premier League next season.
