What’s the word, then?

Well, the Champions League finalists are reportedly happy to let the England international leave the club, with Mauricio Pochettino looking to trade the 28-year-old for a younger model in 19-year-old Sessegnon.

The north Londoners may have to pay £35m for the teenager whose first taste of Premier League football ended in relegation with the Cottagers.

Spurs are said to be finding it difficult to offload Rose, however, and the clubs interested in signing the former Sunderland left-back are struggling to agree on a deal that factors in his wages.

Some Spurs fans absolutely love Rose and would be gutted if he left.

They adore his committed performances and hold him in high regard due to the fact he has been with them since 2007, spending 12 years with the club since signing as a teenager – they will always remember the screamer he scored against Arsenal on his debut.

As you can see, some Tottenham fans really would not be too happy if Rose left the club this summer, which is the last thing the club needs having got the supporters back in their good books after watching games at Wembley and a lack of spending in the last two transfer windows drained the life out of them.

The new stadium and an exciting run to the Champions League final has built up a bond between the players, Pochettino and the supporters, so damaging ruining that by selling a fan favourite would be an unwise move.

أضاف موسيماني خلال المؤتمر الصحفي لمباراة الأهلي والبنك الأهلي: “قدمنا ما في استطاعتنا، شايفين محمد الشناوي لم يتصدى لأي كرة ولم يكن هناك خطورة على مرمانا، وقمنا بالضغط من البداية للتسجيل لكن لم يكن هناك حظ في الفرص التي أتيحت لنا”.

تابع: “اليوم لم يكن يومنا، واللعب كله كان في نصف ملعب المنافس وكنا ضاغطين عليهم طوال المباراة، ولكن المنافس نجح بالخروج بشباكه نظيفة بجانب الفرص التي أتيحت لنا وأنا كمدرب احترم قرارات الحكام”.

وواصل: “تمركز الحكم وقت الهدف كان جيدًا ومن المفترض أنه يرى جيدًا الكرة وعاد ورأى الهدف مرة أخرى من الفار، ثم قام بإلغاء الهدف للأسف، والمفروض الكرة سليمة والتمركز سليم والحكم رأى الكرة جيدًا ويمكن المرة الجاية القرارات تبقى في صالحنا مش حابب اتكلم كتير على الفار”.

استكمل: “تسيدنا المباراة ولكن هذا لم يكن كافيًا لنسجل أهداف، هناك العديد من الكرات العرضية لم تكن متقنة بالقدر الكافي وكانت منخفضة وهذا سبب الاستعجال الناتج عن الضغط الواقع على اللاعبين”.

أردف: “أهدرنا فرصًا كثيرة بدر وبواليا وغيره وديانج وحمدي، إجمالاً لم يكن يومنا ولا يجب أن نلقي اللوم على التحكيم ولكني أحيى فريق البنك الأهلي وأحترم طريقة لعبهم”.

أوضح: “لعب وليد سليمان مهاجم لأنه سجل في المباريات الماضية وحقه يحصل على فرصته باللعب بشكل أساسي اليوم ولكن للأسف أصيب”.

وعن خروج وليد سليمان مصابًا، قال: “أنا سألته قال ليٌ أستطيع أن استكمل اللعب، وهو لاعب كبير ولديه خبرات وعندما لم يستطع استكمال المباراة خرج”.

وعن تراجع مؤشر الفريق، قال: “لم أقلق لأن هناك فرصًا يتم خلقها، تقلق لو لم تصل”.

وبسؤاله هل هناك ضغوط على والتر بواليا، لذلك لا يسجل الأهداف، قال: “ربما لكن هذه هي كرة القدم، هو حاول يسجل لكن للأسف لم يسجل”.

شدد المدرب الهولندي، رونالد كومان، المدير الفني لنادي برشلونة، على صعوبة مواجهة فريق أتلتيك بلباو، في نهائي السوبر الإسباني.

وأضاف: “لقد حصلنا على راحة كافية، والجميع بحالة جيدة، أتوقع مباراة صعبة للغاية غدًا، سنواجه مُنافس قوي قادر على التنافس وجيد للغاية”.

وأكمل: “إذا ضغطوا علينا سنحاول السيطرة على الكرة والاستحواذ على اللعب، في المباراة الماضية أمام ريال سوسيداد، كان من الصعب علينا الدخول في المباراة”.

وأتبع: “الفوز بالألقاب كما قلت يعني أنك على الطريق الصحيح، من أجل اكتساب المزيد من الثقة وإظهار أننا قمنا بتحسّين أنفسنا”.

وشدد: “علينا أنّ نكون في قمة مستوانا، لأن أتلتيك بلباو سيكون في القمة، يجب علينا أنّ نكون مُستعدين تمامًا ونظهر المُستوى الذي ظهرنا به في الدوري”.

وأتم تصريحاته: “نحن نُدرك أهمية هذه المباراة ومدى صعوبتها، ولكن نحن ناضجين بما يكفي لنعرف كيف نلعب”.

Per a report from The Sun, Aston Villa are plotting a £10m move for Matt Targett as the club gear up for a return to the top-flight.

The newspaper claims that Dean Smith sees the Englishman as his first choice to bolster their options at left-back.

Targett, who can play both in defence and further up the field in a role on the wing, demonstrated his quality in attack by claiming three assists last term.

The 23-year-old started just 13 times for Southampton in the campaign just gone, but his lack of game time doesn’t appear to have put Villa off from making a move.

After releasing Alan Hutton and Tommy Elphick, strengthening in defence will be key ahead of next season, especially considering Axel Tuanzebe, Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause have all returned to their loan clubs.

Of course, Hause could return after the club triggered their option to buy the player, but Targett would certainly add even greater quality.

“It’s no secret that Aston Villa need to sign some Premier League experience this summer ahead of their return to the highest level. And it’s often thought that these kind of signings need to be of veterans, but that’s nonsense. Matt Targett is still young and has plenty of Premier League experience, namely 43 appearances in the division with Southampton. This kind of signing would definitely help to prepare Villa suitably for Premier League life.”

Charles Jones:

“Matt Targett is a fantastic left-back in my opinion, but I’m not sure you can say that his addition would suitably prepare them for Premier League life. He has always been the understudy for Ryan Bertrand at Southampton, and he doesn’t really have the experience at this level. That being said he has looked the part when he has stepped onto the pitch, but if this is Villa’s idea of adding Premier League experience to the squad they are looking in the wrong places.”

James Beavis:

“It really depends on what Aston Villa are looking for. If they want a left-back who is reliable defensively but not brilliant going forward, then Targett would be a decent addition. The problem with the 23-year-old is that he doesn’t have the pace to get up to the byline and back, which results in the majority of his crosses coming from a deeper position. In conclusion, he’d be a solid but unspectacular signing for Villa.”

Wolves haven’t looked as though they’re willing to be too active in the transfer market yet but they have already been linked with one winger in Ivan Perisic.

Finding more depth in attack will be crucial ahead of an assault on the Premier League’s top six and in the hope of finding more goals, it looks like they’re targeting Danish wide man Skov.

El Desmarque claim that the Midlands outfit have made contact with his club over a potential move but Tottenham have done the same.

Also chasing the player according to the report are Celta Vigo, so it looks set to be a tight race to secure his signature.

Ideal man to mirror Jota

With the likes of Ivan Cavaleiro, Helder Costa and Adama Traore struggling for form last season, finding the net just five times between them, Nuno Santo decided to operate with a two-man attack.

This meant that Diogo Jota switched from being an out-and-out winger to becoming more of a central striker, playing slightly behind Raul Jimenez.

Although a 3-4-3 formation was still utilised at times, it wasn’t particularly favourable for Nuno towards the back end of the campaign.

However, the signing of Skov could change things once more and see him mirror the impact Jota previously had on the flanks.

Playing predominantly down the left-hand side, the Portuguese had an outstanding second half of the season, finding the net on ten occasions as he used his fantastic dribbling ability to threaten defenders on a regular basis.

He’d frequently cut inside and drive at the defence, something that Skov could replicate on the right-hand side if he joined.

The 23-year-old was in phenomenal form last term, scoring 32 goals and racking up a further ten assists, too.

It was levels beyond Jota but as a left-footed player, he could have a similar effect on the right if Wolves utilised a 3-4-3 formation.

With the ability to cut inside, both Skov and Wolves’ current wide man would be a significant threat and could mirror each other’s impact from opposing directions.

Considering the lack of end product from some of their fringe players in 2018/19, this signing has the potential to be game-changing.

According to AS, Arsenal are in talks with Real Madrid over a move for Lucas Vazquez in this summer’s transfer window.

Vazquez was a regular for Los Blancos during the 2018-19 campaign – appearing on 47 occasions for the Spanish giants in all competitions.

The winger only managed five goals and four assists, though, and could find minutes hard to secure during the 2019-20 season, with Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic both moving to the Bernabeu this summer.

According to AS, Arsenal are locked in discussions with Real Madrid over a deal for the nine-time Spain international.

The same report, though, has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are also interested parties.
