But for some reason or the other, we didn’t see him.”Interestingly, when the chairman of selectors, Wasim Bari had beenquestioned on the inclusion of Razzaq, the former Test captain hadexpressed his ignorance about his fitness. He had then said that hiscommittee had been informed by the concerned authority that he wasavailable for selection.The doctor also blamed the cricket administrators for the breakingdown of paceman Shoaib Akhtar whose tour to New Zealand was shortenedafter he was again reported for a suspect bowling action.”The panel (of doctors) felt that Shoaib was not fit and needed atleast six more weeks to strengthen his muscles. But our opinion wasagain rejected.”Shoaib was included for the tour to New Zealand after a 10- month layoff.Ironically, the same panel of doctors will determine the fitness ofWasim Akram, Azhar Mahmood, Moin Khan and Shoaib Akhtar for nextmonth’s tour to England.It wouldn’t be a surprise if at least three, including Wasim and Moin,fail fitness tests despite appearing in two one-day tournament matchesfor PIA at Sheikhupura against Pakistan Customs and Habib Bank.

It looks as though a move is now close to being completed, with Football Insider reporting that the 25-year-old will undergo a medical on Monday.

Norwich are believed to have fought off late interest from Leeds United, with Gunn deciding to emulate his father Bryan and join the Canaries.

This is a move which makes perfect sense for Norwich, not only because of Gunn’s family links to the club, but also because of his quality, having being hailed as ‘amazing’ by Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl in the past.

He can provide stiff competition for Tim Krul between the sticks, and at 25 he is still young for a goalkeeper, meaning he should only improve in the coming years. He also boasts Premier League experience and had a decent 2020/21 campaign on loan at Stoke, keeping six clean sheets in 15 appearances and conceding a respectable 21 goals (Transfermarkt).

Squad depth is vital in the Premier League, so having two strong options in goal can only be a good thing for Daniel Farke’s side as they get reacquainted with top-flight football once more.

O contrato também estipula algumas metas que permitem ao São Paulo comprar novas fatias dos direitos do jogador dependendo do desempenho dele em campo e de possíveis convocações para a seleção argentina, também com valores proporcionais ao da venda inicial.

As per The Telegraph’s John Percy (via villareport), Smith is keen on strengthening his backroom team this summer, and that he’s targeting a set-piece specialist coach, in particular.

While the hiring of a set-piece coach may not sound like the most game-changing move Villa could make, looking at the stats from last season, it becomes that much more clear as to why Smith is keen to bring on in.

As per Whoscored, the Midlands club scored just 11 goals from set-pieces in the Premier League, five fewer than West Ham who finished at the top of that table.

With reports also linking Villa with a move for dead-ball specialist in James Ward-Prowse, it’s clear that Smith sees this area as a real point to improve on over the coming season and beyond.

If Villa can’t get a deal over the line for Southampton’s Ward-Prowse, then bringing in a coach to help the club’s existing players figure out techniques and routines for free-kicks and corners could prove to be the difference-maker.
