كشف مصدر بالنادي الأهلي عن رفض محكمة الشئون المالية قبول الملف الطبي الذي تقدم به مرتضى منصور رئيس الزمالك، والذي طلب فيه قضاء فترة سجنه لمدة شهر في القضية المرفوعة ضده من جانب محمود الخطيب رئيس القلعة الحمراء بالمستشفى لأسباب صحية.

وكان محمد عثمان مستشار النادي الأهلي القانوني قد أعلن بالأمس صدور حكم نهائي بحبس مرتضى منصور لمدة شهر بتهمة سب وقذف محمود الخطيب.

وقال المصدر لـ”بطولات”: “رفضت المحكمة قبول طلب رئيس الزمالك، بعدما قام مندوب عنه بتسليمه، حيث كان يتوجب تقديمه بشكل شخصي، في الوقت الذي لجأ فيه إلى إرساله عن طريق أحد مندوبيه، خشية القبض عليه وترحيله لقضاء فترة العقوبة”.

يُذكر أن هاني زادة عضو مجلس إدارة الزمالك السابق قد أرسل خطابًا رسميًا لمكتب وزير الشباب والرياضة أشرف صبحي وللجنة الأولمبية المصرية أيضًا للمطالبة بعزل مرتضى منصور من رئاسة النادي تطبيقًا للقانون بعد صدور حكم قضائي بحبسه.

As the ball began its descent, Mathews braced himself right on the boundary’s edge and caught the ball. He realised, however, that his momentum, and that of the ball, was going to take him over the rope and so he threw the ball in the air and then fell over outside the boundary. Looking up, he saw that the ball would land outside the boundary, resulting in a six, and so picked himself up, jumped desperately and was in the air as he slapped the ball over the rope and back into play. Andre Fletcher had just deposited Lasith Malinga’s fast ball into the stands at midwicket. As Malinga steamed in again, Fletcher wound up once more preparing to whack it again. He swung hard, connected with nothing, and swiveled around to see his leg stump flattened. … was Kieron Pollard. He watched in amazement as Tillakaratne Dilshan moved across to the off side, bent down on one knee, got under the ball, and scooped it over the wicketkeeper’s head for six. A third attempt at a scoop was just too much for Pollard simply aborted his run-up as he approached delivery stride when he saw Dilshan crouch into position to send the ball over Ramdin once again. Jayasuriya had done all the early scoring for Sri Lanka, contributing 32 out of their first 40 runs. The trend continued with Jayasuriya scoring 72 out of Sri Lanka’s first 100. The Lowdown: Rudiger out of contract

Under Thomas Tuchel, the 28-year-old has developed into one of the Premier League’s best defenders – he has featured in eight of the Blues’ nine Premier League outings this term (Transfermarkt) as they have conceded just three times in the league (Sky Sports), while Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann labelled his progress as “fantastic” (The Sun)

However, his contract is set to run out at the end of the season, and as it stands, Chelsea and the Germany international are at an impasse with regards to a new deal (ESPN).

The Latest: Spurs want Rudiger

As per this latest report from Calciomercato, Spurs are one of the many clubs interested in signing the former AS Roma centre-back.

They are joined by Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in their admiration for the Champions League-winning defender.

The Verdict: Beyond them

While it is ambitious from Spurs to enter the race for Rudiger, it would be a surprise to see him move to north London. For a start, that would represent a significant step down – after all, Chelsea are European champions and currently top the Premier League, while Spurs are sixth and competing in the Europa Conference League, the third-tier continental tournament, this season.

Not only that, the other four clubs in pursuit are more attractive propositions, and not just because of their Champions League presence. The £31.5m-valued defender (Transfermarkt) is said to be looking for £200,000 per week (ESPN) if he is to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge, which would immediately make him the joint-highest earner at Tottenham – even Harry Kane does not take home more (Spotrac).

Quite frankly, it seems a pipe dream that Rudiger would end up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Birmingham Mail’s Ashley Preece has revealed what he’s seen about Aston Villa in recent weeks amid a difficult start to the Premier League.

What’s the story?

Dean Smith’s side suffered yet another disappointing defeat in the top-flight last Friday when they went down 3-1 to Arsenal, and, during a discussion session for The Birmingham Mail, Preece made a very “alarming” claim.

He said: “It’s a combination of both. The finger-pointing came out at Arsenal last week, with Tyrone Mings, Matt Targett, John McGinn, Ezri Konsa, Matty Cash and Emi Martinez all dishing out rollickings to each other.

“The two boys up top, Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins, just have zero belief in what they’re doing at present. The body language amongst the group is alarming – and so too was Smith’s admission last week that recent, below-par performances have been nothing to do with that 3-5-2 system.”

Fans will be worried

While Jack Grealish’s exit in the summer transfer window was always going to be painful, Villa fans would surely have been in optimistic spirits heading into the new season given just how well their recruitment went.

The likes of Leon Bailey, Emi Buendia and Danny Ings, among others, were brought in to add a bit more excitement and attacking flair to Villa’s side, and given the fact they had a settled back four and goalkeeper from last season, things were looking up.

But, the momentum at Villa Park has well and truly shifted, with a couple of bad defeats in recent weeks really raising question marks about the club and the direction they’re heading in – they lie in the bottom half of the table, and have already suffered five defeats in just nine Premier League games.

The fact Preece claims the body language in the group is “alarming” is sure to worry fans about whether Smith can restore the kind of confidence needed to bounce back from their recent failures.

If this kind of run continues, then it’s hard to see where that leaves Smith.
