Comovido com a situação vivida pelas famílias das vítimas do acidente aéreo, o atacante teve a ideia de fundar a Abravic na semana seguinte a tragédia. A principal intenção da Associação Brasileira da Vítimas do Acidente com a Chapecoense é arrecadar fundos para a instituição, que atende os familiares com pagamento de estudos, assistência médica, psicológica e até com remédios.

Apesar de não citar sua participação na fundação da entidade, o jogador diz estar com a sensação de dever cumprido e mantém o otimismo para a próxima temporada, acreditando que será ainda melhor para todos os envolvidos com o clube.

– Para mim, individualmente, foi uma temporada muito boa. Procurei dar o meu máximo pela Chapecoense e encerro 2017 com a sensação de dever cumprido. Tenho certeza que 2018 será ainda melhor em todos os sentidos, não só para mim, mas para a Chape também – finalizou.

According to earlier reports from The Evening Standard, David Moyes remains keen on exploring a potential January deal for Lingard, and with fellow Premier League side Newcastle seemingly out of the running now, the race has opened up for the Hammers.

Via his Patreon, Ex said: “The club, on the back of the Lingard situation with Newcastle (although we do expect Newcastle to try again), will try another attempt at a deal but Manchester United are very reluctant to deal with us and there are issues to resolve still with his former stay here. We hope to have more details on this deal later.”

Moyes will love it

With Newcastle potentially out of the picture, the chances of the Hammers making a late swoop for Lingard is now very much a realistic prospect.

If the London club can work out some of the issues Ex says exists from Lingard’s previous loan deal at the London Stadium, then it would be a superb late window coup for Moyes.

After joining West Ham back in the January transfer window on a short-term loan, the attacking midfielder notched an impressive nine goals and four assists in just his first ten Premier League games for the club – it was no surprise then that he was lauded as being “absolutely phenomenal”.

His performances with the Hammers showcased the kind of impact the £75k-a-week earning star can have when he’s on song and the confidence is flowing through his veins.

With West Ham still very much in the mix for a Champions League spot this season, adding that extra sprinkling of goals and dynamism in Lingard could well prove to be the difference-maker when it comes to those big moments and big games.

After seemingly looking like Newcastle would trump them in their chase for Lingard, making a fresh move to land the England ace’s signature would surely have Moyes buzzing.

Indian allrounder Ravindra Jadeja has apologised to the BCCI for his involvement in the incident at a St Lucia pub shortly after India’s exit from the ICC World Twenty20, but insisted that he along with six other Indian players did not instigate any trouble or retaliate against the Indian fans who abused them at the pub.In a letter addressed to the BCCI secretary N Srinivasan, a copy of which is with Cricinfo, Jadeja said the cricketers were taunted by the fans, who refused to back down even after a request from the players. He said the players were not involved in a ‘brawl’, as it was believed to be earlier, but nevertheless was apologetic that the incident even took place. After the incident was made public, the BCCI responded by issuing show-cause notices to seven of the eight players in the pub.”I regret that the board has sent me a notice for the incident in the West Indies, and please accept my apology,” Jadeja wrote. “I had gone to the restaurant (pub) along with other Indian team members. Some other guests, which I presume were Indian origins of the USA, also came to the restaurant and on seeing us they started abusing us, this may be because they were unhappy with our poor performance. We requested them not to abuse us but they did not stop inspite of our repeated request. No way was I involved in any ugly brawl and I went to the pub only to have dinner with my team-mates.”Jadeja had a poor tournament, where he failed in all departments.The other players issued notices were Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Rohit Sharma, Piyush Chawla, and M Vijay. The Latest: Irons make contact with Liverpool

According to a West Ham source at Football Insider, the Hammers have their eyes on a late bid and have asked Liverpool to keep them informed about Origi’s situation.

The outlet’s source claims David Moyes ‘is personally overseeing the club’s late search for a forward and Origi is firmly on his radar’.

Liverpool are open to a loan, loan-to-buy and permanent bids for the striker, following the arrival of Luis Diaz from Porto.

Origi has entered the final six months of his contract at Anfield, but there is a 12-month extension clause in his deal.

The Verdict: Origi a solid option

With 103 Premier League appearances under his belt, Origi could prove to be a fantastic choice for Moyes and the club. Despite his limited game-time, the Belgian striker has scored 40 goals for the Reds, many of which have come during the most important of occasions.

This includes two goals in their infamous 4-0 win over Barcelona in the 2019 Champions League semi-final, which was further topped by scoring the winning goal in the final against Spurs, leading Jurgen Klopp’s side to the club’s sixth UCL trophy.

Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders has said that ‘Divock is one of the world’s best finishers’, so it’s not hard to see why Moyes is interested in him. If the club can get this deal over the line before the deadline hits, this could prove to be a fantastic signing for the Hammers.

Spurs were heavily linked with a move for the Middlesbrough defender last month and were thought to be edging closer to a January transfer.

However, as we now know, Tottenham failed to bring the 21-year-old to north London and he remained on loan at the City Ground.

Even though the transfer window is now shut, rumours are already circling ahead of the summer, with reports suggesting that a £10m move ahead of the 2022/23 campaign could already be in the pipeline.

The Latest: Wenham’s comments

Spurs insider Wenham was talking to Football Insider regarding Spence. He revealed that the club were first alerted to the defender two seasons ago when Jose Mourinho was in charge and even revealed a connection with the former manager’s son, outlining:

“There has been a lot said about Paratici also watching Brennan Johnson at Forest. So they are two players Tottenham seem to have a heavy interest in.

“Spence first came onto Tottenham’s radar when he was playing for Middlesbrough against us two seasons ago when we were managed by Mourinho.

“I understand he came through the academy at Fulham. He’s of Portuguese descent, there was a connection with Mourinho’s son.

“He’s been on Tottenham’s radar for a long period of time. The right-wing back position is one we still need to strengthen.

“A lot of our fans want us to make that move. But just to play devil’s advocate on this, he hasn’t done 5% of what Ryan Sessegnon had done at that age.

“Sessegnon has done next to nothing at Tottenham so excelling in the Championship isn’t a guarantee of success in the Premier League.

“Sessegnon scored 16 goals from left-wing back and won the Championship young player of the year award but hasn’t really done anything for us.

“That being said, Spence is the profile of player we should be targetting.”

It’s not just Spurs who are keen on Spence, with Arsenal and Leeds also credited with an interest last month.

A £10m move could prove to be a steal in the long run, with Spence being labelled ‘outstanding’ by Middlesbrough boss Chris Wilder and a ‘massive player’ by Sky Sports pundit Jobi McAnuff.

Spence may also take to a potential right-wing back role under Antonio Conte further down the line with ease due to being able to play as a right-back or right midfielder. It appears as if he is a future star, so securing his services ahead of two Premier League rivals could be a smart move by Fabio Paratici if he can get it done.
